How will all the fades be included if you didn't click 'include volume/automation' option?
Was this acoustic recording on a regular microphone 🎤 plus using the acoustic plugin
Nice sound
Are there any videos available to show on after recording acoustic guitar, how can we edit it to sound better. Please guide.
You helped me so much!
Great video! What do I do if I’m sending out to be mixed but want to leave melodyne on vocals and everything else is raw?
Happy new year sir. Best video ever 🎉🙌🏾💯so helpful
Great explanation ! thank you
Thanks a ton! Already subscribed.
100!?!? should be around 6-7 ms
Hi is there any way to combine parts of the acoustic drum kits with parts of the electronic kits. I mean into one single kit. Thanks.
-18db?? really? why is that?
I explain in the video.
Can you do this with live recorded drums in Logic?
Yes. Varispeed can be applied to any audio or midi in Logic. It affects the entire project.
@@JayCrafton Thank you for replying.
Thank You! I finally understand! 🤩

The hardest part is to get a good source. Especially when you only have a budget guitar and untreated room. =)
Hi. You cannot kick out In&Out relation causa its a basic thang - the knowledge about compensation.
great 😎 help Bro, thanks a million 👍
IN SO EASY WAY! YOU DOING GREAT JOB :) MAY GOD BLESS YOU.....--------........---------............------------..........----------..........---------......----------.........----------..........----------:
I hate this compressor... the attack and release being reverse is only the beginning... NOTHING about this compressor makes sense. there is not threshold... you get gain reduction by turning the input up... which ALWAYS makes a signal louder as it compresses leaving you to chase the unity gain with the output. Also the gain reduction meter doesn't work correctly either... you can have the input all the way down and the gain reduction is at "0," but in reality that means the compressor has the gain reduced by more than -20... so what could it possibly mean in an objective sense once you start dialing in the input????? IT'S GARBAGE!!!!!!!!
thank you!
bro the compression did not get more intense as you increased the ratio lol. the ratios determine the threshold style and knee degree in conjunction with the input. like you can literally see how less the needle reacts the higher you go on the ratio setting
You are correct that the knee does get harder as the ratio increases on the 1176; that's a cool fact that I didn't know! But it's still a fact that the compression also gets more intense the higher the ratio is set, regardless of if it's clear to see just by watching the needle. The Google definition of intense is: "of extreme force, degree, or strength". The higher the ratio, the higher the degree of compression, the more intense the compression is. Thanks for the comment.
yea for sure 20:1 is still limiting style. in your example the compression lessened the higher you went because you weren't feeding more input into it as you went higher. the 20:1 threshold is much higher than the 4:1 on an 1176 so it needs more input to start working as it should. the fixed threshold thing has its quirks
Aha, I see what you mean.
@@clocks8137What are you talking about? This comp has no treshold but gets active via the input knob. The ratio tells how often it will grab the signal so the 4:1 is less often pulling the signal than 20:1. That has nothing to do with thr so called treshold activity limit.
Wow I've watched hours of mixing tutorials this was the best eq example I've seen. Could easily hear the offending frequencies.
Thank you for making it so easy to understand. You know the literal meaning of explaining a thing to a beginner. Teaching is not showing off what you know, it’s all about making others understand what you teach them. Thanks again. Huge shoutout from Sri Lanka.
Very very helpful tips 👏👏👏👏 compliments to you mate 👍🙏
THANK YOU .
Do you have a video on adding fades to multiple drum tracks that would be helpful for someone who can get a solid fifty seconds in but not much further without making a mistake? 😂
1:14 in and this dude has so far explained this compressor in the most simple way I ever heard lol
very useful 👌👌👌
thanks for this ! just thought id check before i try mixing my acoustic tracks ,this helped alot
so does increasing the input knob increase compression? and u level it out with output?
I have been teaching myself this in the last few days ...its so good if you apply the right effects to each individual drum. i have found the Bonham snare sound by trying different compression and reverb effects.
Thanks. Straight to the point. No BS. Very useful.
Thanks :)
The reverse action on the attack and release knobs always muddied my understanding. Your video clears everything up in a short amount of time. Bravo.
Great tip but whenever I export, as a song to itunes or an audio file as wave, the pitch doesn't stay changed it just reverets back to the original. How do you make it save or stay?
dude this helped me so much! thank you!
Thanks for this video. This method differs from mine but yours is much better so I have now written up for future reference. I had previously been selecting Multi-Out Drumkit Designer from the Instrument Button menu and not from the Library. If you don't use the Library, Logic doesn't automatically create the track stack for you. One other important thing I discovered was that you must keep the buses that Logic automatically generates or the Solo button on the Drumkit track stack header does not work. If you want to send the drums to your own drum bus, don't change the individual outs of each drum, do it from the output button on the header track of the Drumkit Track Stack. It took me about 5 hours to discover this.
Great job
Very helpful! Thanks so much!
Any way to make the producer kits the default and just not bother with the basic versions?
THANK YOU!!!
Great video, thank you so much! You just made my day. I am using Logic Pro 9 but I was expecting it would behave like the X does now... Anyway the old method works great for me on LP9, this will save me a ton of editing time. Cheers! :D
This has been extremely helpful. I am a beginner in recording, just bought a mic and I didn't like what it recorded. Having identified and removed those annoying frequencies just made it come to life, thank you so much. Also the compressor and the stereo stuff has been really useful for someone like me, who has not done this before.
Isn't hardware better than plugins? Thanks.
Incredible video, nicely done!
This deserves more views! You helped me so much bro! Thank you
Bro thank you
Newbie here so be gentle. My perception of how to use this compressor is that the lower the input number is on the louder it gets. Does this mean the compressor is working harder when it makes it louder or is it working less? the numbers get bigger turning the knob counter clockwise. But the bigger the number the quiter it’s gets. I’m so confused
once a drum part is expanded to have all these separate tracks why cant we see the separated notes in each parts' workspace?
That's good stuff, but I hear my vocals in the right because guitar is panned in the left I guess, even though my vocals are in the centre. Is there a way around that?
